On the first day of the year, the entertainment arena of Jamjamat Bangladesh.

So most of those who got a chance to spend their holidays yesterday were planning to go somewhere. Bypassing Corona Chokharangani, the world of entertainment became bustling, especially in Dhaka.

 Apart from dance songs, dramas and movies, the city was in full swing.An exhibition of Rabindranath Tagore's Bisarjan Natak was held at the Natmandal Auditorium of Dhaka University on Saturday evening. The play is presented in the style of a journey. 

The rituals and forms of the traditional Jatrapala have been brought to the stage of immersion through experimentation. Only the invited guests got a chance to enjoy it on the first day. 

From today till January 5, anyone can watch the play at 6:30 pm. It was brought on the stage by the Department of Theater and Performance Studies of Dhaka University in collaboration with Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on the occasion of Mujib Year and Golden Jubilee of Independence.

For those who were able to reach Segunbagicha, there were several events at the Shilpakala Academy. The first day of the year was the 102nd birthday of the dancer Bulbul Chowdhury. On this occasion, a discussion and dance program was organized by Bangladesh Nrityashilpi Sangstha. Munmun Ahmed performed the opening dance with the song 'O Amar Desh Mati'. The list of performances included a group of groups such as Nrityam, Divya, Kathak community and Spondon.

 The play Geeti Chandrabati of Sanskar Natyadal was directed by Yusuf Hasan. Domestic movies are running in one-screen theaters of the capital, local and foreign movies in multiplexes. Some have seen some of The Matrix Resurrections, Mission Extreme, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Night Flower pictures.

In the auditorium of the Liberation War Museum in Agargaon, there was an exhibition of the award winning best Bangladeshi documentary Why Knot. On this day, the ninth ‘Liberation Dockfest’ was attended by Bangladeshi filmmakers and participants in the documentary workshop. 

The ninth edition of the Liberation Dockfest, a documentary festival on liberation and human rights, was online on June 8-12.However, these opportunities to enjoy these dramas and movies are available only in the heart of the city. For those who are a little farther away, it is difficult to get there after a long journey and traffic jams.


 Visitors from Uttara, Purbachal, Narayanganj, Old Dhaka cannot go to Natakpara or theaters. There is a lot of talk about this, but it doesn't work.
